How to Reconnect Your Shark IQ Robot to a New Wi-Fi Network Without Losing Maps

This guide explains how to connect your Shark IQ robot to a new Wi-Fi network while preserving your saved room maps and settings. Follow these steps, especially useful if you’ve changed your Wi-Fi router or password.

Steps to Reconnect:

1. Put Shark IQ Robot in Wi-Fi Setup Mode

   • Press and hold both the Clean and Dock buttons simultaneously for 5–10 seconds.
   • The Wi-Fi light will start blinking when the robot is ready for setup.

2. Open the SharkClean App

   • Do not attempt to reconnect the existing robot directly.

3. Add As a New Robot in the App

   • Go to Settings and select Add a New Robot.
   • When prompted to name the new robot, use the exact same name as the previous robot (the one associated with your saved room maps).

   Tip: Using the same name links your new instance with previous map and room data.

4. Complete Wi-Fi Setup

   • Follow in-app instructions to connect the robot to the new Wi-Fi network.

5. Verify Restoration

   • After setup, your robot should retain:
     • Saved maps
     • Room names
     • Cleaning schedules
