Registration Fundamentals

Browsing Courses

• Access through registration.wayne.edu or Academica account.

• Five tabs in the registration portal:

  1. Prepare for Registration
  2. Plan Ahead
  3. View Class Schedule
  4. Browse Classes
  5. Register for Classes

• Browsing Classes:

  • Select a term and search using course number or subject.
  • Results show course details, including CRN, subject, instructor, etc.
  • Adjust view by removing unnecessary columns via the gear icon.

Registration Portal Access

• Via Academica:
  1. Search "Wayne State University" in any search engine.
  2. Click "Login" and enter your Access ID and password.
  3. Navigate to Student Resources under the Resources section.
  4. Select "Registration Portal."

Register for Classes

• Navigate through various tabs like "Find Classes" or "Enter CRNs."

• To add a course, enter CRNs and add them to the schedule.

• To remove a course, select "Drop" from the action menu.

• Finalize Registration:

  • Hit "Submit" to confirm course registration.
