Check Secure Boot Status

1. Go to the Search on your taskbar and type in System Information.
2. Open System Information and look for Secure Boot State to see if it's turned on or off.

Ensure BIOS Mode Set to UEFI

• Your BIOS mode must be set to UEFI and not legacy.
• If your computer is from 2012 or later, it likely says UEFI. If not, conversion instructions are provided.

Turning Secure Boot On

1. Restart your PC into BIOS using special boot mode:
   • Click on the Windows icon and select the Power button.
   • Press Shift and click on Restart simultaneously to enter Windows Recovery Environment.
2. Navigate to BIOS settings:
   • Click Troubleshoot -> Advanced Options -> UEFI Firmware Settings -> Restart.
   • In BIOS, locate Security or Boot menus.
3. Enable Secure Boot:
   • Find Secure Boot option, set it to Enabled.
   • If CSM is enabled, turn it off first.

Save Changes and Exit

• Press F10 to save the configuration and reset.

Verify Secure Boot Activation

• After restarting and changing settings, check System Information to confirm Secure Boot is turned on.
