Getting Started with Notion: Life OS Setup
Introduction
Create a completely blank Notion page.
In 12 minutes, set up a life OS home screen with one essential dashboard.
Powered by two simple databases: Tasks and Notes.
Initial Setup
Naming and Icons
Name the page "Life OS".
Choose an icon, e.g., Ying Yang.
Dashboard Creation
Use

for headings and choose a background color.
Add dividers for a clean look.
Database Creation
Task Database
Use the table view and rename to "Task database."
Change properties: multi-select to date, and add a checkbox for completed tasks.
Create views for filtering tasks by due date.
Add tasks (e.g., "Watch Appo Vision Pro review").
Notes Database
Create a table view and name it "Notes database."
Add properties for date, note type, created time, and last updated time.
Sort notes by date descending.
Dashboard and Command Center
Create a "Command Center" page with full-width display.
Add views for tasks and notes, including:
Weekly Task View:
Filter tasks by the upcoming week.
Notes View:
Show recent notes by last updated time.
