1. Program Code / Source Code

   • Sequence of instructions written by humans.
   • Referred to as program, code, or source code.

2. Machine Code

   • Code that can be run directly by a machine.
   • Translated from the source code because machines cannot understand it.

3. Statement

   • A type of instruction in a programming language.

4. Syntax

   • Rules of a programming language.
   • Necessary to follow for correct program structuring.

5. Compiler

   • Software that translates source code to machine code in one go.

6. Interpreter

   • Software that translates source code to machine code line-by-line.

7. Execution

   • The process of running a program.

8. Syntax Error

   • Mistakes in the syntax of code, breaking programming language rules.
   • Example: Missing semicolon in C++.

9. Logic Error

   • Mistakes that produce the wrong result.
   • Occurs during execution but does not crash the program.

10. Runtime Error

    • Errors that occur during program execution, possibly causing program crashes.
    • Example: Division by zero.

11. Bug

    • An error in a program.

12. Debugging

    • The process of finding and fixing bugs within a program.
